Options for Green Power

  • Utilities - The traditional way to obtain electricity. Primaryily produced using coal, natural gas, and nuclear fuels. Coal most carbon

  • Sub-utilities: Purchase from an independent energy producer such as Green Mountain Energy that provides energy produced from renewable resources such as wind and solar farms.

  • Renewable Energy - Self produced energy from solar, wind or biofuels. The company uses the energy it produces and feeds the unused energy back onto the energy grid for a credit from the utility company.

Solar & Distribution Centers

The trend has begun…solar and renewable energy are a part of the distribution center energy management strategy. These new energy technologies join conservation, lighting and climate management initiatives that have help reduce and mange the cost of energy in the distribution center industry.
